Likoko Eunice is a Kenyan nutrition & gender advisor in food systems at Wageningen Centre for Development Innovation. She has 15 years’ international development work experience in marginalized communities in rural and urban areas. In the last four years, she has led a collaborative research project that focused on inclusive empowerment strategies to support women agribusiness microentrepreneurs. Likoko has been involved in gender intervention, collaboration and policy development in Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, Sweden and the USA. She holds a masters in Sustainable Development and is finalizing her PhD in Governance and Inclusive Development.

In this capacity we have a conversation on the different actors in the Maize business. We focus mainly on the role of universities like Wageningen and the role of the (kenyan) state in the food production of its country.
