Hi! My names is Vanessa and I am a Canadian Nigerian MA African Studies student at Leiden. My research focus is mainly West Africa specifically Nigeria. I am interested in researching the more cultural aspects of Nigeria such as Nollywood and the Theatre Arts. Investigating the history and cultural relevance of these areas,  how the emergence and growths of these sectors have impacted Nigeria economically and globally, as well how Nollywood and the theatre arts have impacted resident Nigerians and diasporic Nigerians.
