In today's episode of the podcast Africa Unbound, called Migrating Identities, we engage in a discussion on migration, diaspora and identities together with our guest Aisha Hassan. She shares her personal insights on what it is like to grow up with two different identities, being Somali and Dutch. She also provides valuable comments on the phenomena of migration patterns and the African diaspora. In the featuring image above, you can see a Dabqaad (an incense burner), which her grandmother and mother used frequently. Aisha has shared this with us as a way of visualising her story: "the smell of a Dabqaad makes me think of my family."
