How Albino Activists Fight Violence Against African People With Albinism

A Netnography

Violence against people with albinism has always been a worldwide problem, but especially so in East Africa. Even though the perceptions towards and understanding of albinism are changing positively, albino people are often victims of kidnappings, physical abuse and exclusion. As NGOs and governments attempt to protect these people and increase awareness about albinism, albino people are standing up for themselves too. In this video, we will explore the use of social media by African albino activists, by adopting the method of netnography.
