As a group of young women passionate about our female experiences, we have chosen to look at advocacy for menstrual health in Kenya. We decided to look beyond Menstrual Health Management Programmes and focus on period stigmatization. For this reason, we looked at the influence of Janet Mbugua, a TV personality, and her Instagram advocacy in Kenya. We looked at how her platforms compare to those of NGOs, and what strategies can reach more people to destigmatize periods and spread knowledge about menstural health.
