My name is Nynke Anna van der Mark and I em enrolled in the Research Master’s Program Colonial and Global History at Leiden University. I am interested in social-economic history from a global perspective. I am also studying International Relations, in which I am mainly occupied with the disciplinary history of IR itself.

For the research course ‘Negotiating Power in Africa: The Congo Crisis’ I work on the notion of gender roles and how they might have been challenged or changed during the Congo Crisis.

For this project, the aim is to create a podcast (series) in which I conduct interviews with guests and analyse my findings.
